Danny Masterson, who was convicted of raping two women in the 1990s, has been relocated to Corcoran State Prison in Central California, a maximum-security facility with a notorious history.

The prison, which was once the home of the infamous Charles Manson, is expected to be Masterson's long-term residence as he serves his 30-years-to-life sentence.

In September, Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison after being found guilty of two counts of rape last May by a Los Angeles jury.

Masterson has since appealed his conviction but was denied bail last week while the proceedings go through, per the New York Post.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo, who oversaw Masterson's original trial, emphasized the severity of the sentence in a recent statement: "If defendant’s conviction and sentence are upheld on appeal, he will likely remain in custody for decades and perhaps the rest of his life."

Notably, the judge highlighted Masterson's lack of a wife as a potential flight risk, stating: "In light of the fact that defendant has no wife to go home to, defendant now has every incentive to flee and little reason to return to state prison to serve out the remainder of his lengthy sentence should his appeal be unsuccessful."

Bijou Phillips filed for divorce from Masterson shortly after his sentencing.

The actor initially spent time in an LA County lockup before being transferred to the North Kern state prison intake facility. However, his recent move to Corcoran - situated approximately halfway between Bakersfield and Sacramento - marks a significant development in his incarceration.

Corcoran State Prison is renowned for housing some of California's most dangerous inmates and boasts a substantial population of Level 4 inmates, those requiring the highest degree of protection and supervision. It was constructed in 1988 and is commonly referred to as Corcoran State Prison.

According to prison records, Danny Masterson will first become eligible for parole in 2042 when he reaches the age of 66. The actor, now 47 years old, is the father of a pre-teen girl with his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Bijou Phillips.

In his latest move, Masterson has been assigned to the prison's Level 4 maximum-security housing unit, the highest level of security available, per The Independent. This placement is indicative of the serious nature of his crimes and the potential risks associated with his incarceration.

Notable former inmates of Corcoran State Prison include Bobby Kennedy's assassin, Sirhan Sirhan.

Corcoran also features a Protective Housing Unit, designed for inmates in danger of harm within the Level 4 general population. This specialized wing is where Manson was held from 1989 until his transfer to another prison nearly a decade later when he was caught trafficking drugs.

Manson was transferred from San Quentin State Prison to Corcoran in March of 1989. The cultist - who was imprisoned for the murders of seven people - was transferred to another prison eight years later after it was found he had been helping to smuggle drugs.
