The children of Sean 'Diddy' Combs have released an emotional statement as their father awaits his trial.

Combs, 54, is currently behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in New York.

The rapper was arrested at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan, New York on Monday night (September 16).

The 54-year-old star's legal indictment was unsealed the following day and revealed that he had been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, per Sky News.

Combs has pleaded not guilty and has been refused bail twice, despite proposing a $50 million bail package.

However, in their statement, the focus was not on their father’s legal woes but on defending their late mother, Kim Porter, from circulating conspiracy theories.

In a joint statement released on Instagram Tuesday night, Quincy Brown, Christian Combs, and twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs condemned the false rumors surrounding their parents' relationship and their mother's death.

"We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs' relationship, as well as about our mom's tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out," they wrote.

Porter, a model and actress, was in an on-and-off relationship with Combs from 1994 to 2007, per the New York Post.

They had three children together - Christian, now 26, and twins Jessie and D’Lila, 17.

Quincy, 33, Porter’s eldest son from her marriage to singer Al B. Sure!, was later adopted by Combs when he was just three years old.

Their statement comes in response to the release of a controversial memoir, reportedly written by Porter before her sudden death in 2018.

Porter passed away at the age of 47 due to lobar pneumonia, but the self-published memoir, which appeared earlier this month, has sparked renewed conspiracies about her death.

The children denounced the memoir, calling it a complete fabrication.

“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is mispresenting themselves,” they stated.

The 59-page book, titled Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, from the Other Side…, was self-published under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood, a name linked by conspiracy theorists to rapper Tupac Shakur.

Despite its dubious origin, the book has surged to the top of Amazon’s Best Sellers list, retailing for $25.

The alleged author of the memoir even admitted to Rolling Stone that he could not verify its authenticity.

Rumors surrounding the memoir, combined with recent accusations against Combs - including allegations of domestic violence from his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura - have fueled speculation on social media about Porter’s death.

However, her children firmly shut down these theories.

“While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play,” they wrote.

They expressed disappointment over how their mother's memory has been handled in public discourse.

"We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives," the statement continued.

"Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”

Notably, the children did not address the charges against their father.
