Donald Trump has slammed President Joe Biden's time in office so far, stating that the Democratic leader "has brought our country to the brink of ruin".
On Sunday, July 11, the ex-POTUS addressed the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas, as he commented on a series of topics and political rivals.
Despite the fact that Trump was impeached twice during his term and was even accused of inciting a deadly insurrection, he said of incumbent president Biden per KTVN: "Joe Biden has brought our country to the brink of ruin.
"Right here in Texas, we are the epicenter of the border and migration crisis unlike anything anyone has ever seen before in the history of our country."
Then lambasting the Democratic party as a whole, the 75-year-old Republican said of its policies on crime: "In New York City crime is out of control. It’s at record levels with nobody being prosecuted except of course for innocent Republicans are being prosecuted."

He added: "The Democrats know their policies on crime are so unpopular, so radical, so crazy, they are now trying to pretend they never lead 'Defund the Police' movement in the first place. 'We never said Defund the Police, you know who did, the Republicans did it.' That’s what they do. It’s called disinformation."
Reiterating his own conservative policies, he said on behalf of the Democratic party, per KCRG: "We will secure our borders. We will stop left-wing cancel culture. We will restore free speech and fair elections. And we will make America great again."
Trump also repeated his usual baseless claims of voter fraud, stating: "We were doing so well until the rigged election came along."

The businessman-turned-world leader has repeatedly perpetuated false claims of election rigging during the 2020 presidential election. Not only are the claims unfounded, but US election security officials have confirmed the election was "the most secure in American history".
Furthermore, state and federal judges - some of whom were appointed by Trump himself - have dismissed over 50 lawsuits citing election fraud, per Reuters.
