Chief McManus states that the incident unfolded after five people -  two males and three females - were denied entry into a San Antonio bar due to the fact they were deemed to be too inebriated. That’s when the alleged shooter reportedly said: "Don’t you know who I am? I’m a UFC fighter from California."

According to McManus' briefing with reporters on Friday night, the suspect then "walked back to his car, pulled out a long rifle and walked back across the street and opened fire".

The victims include five females and three males that are between the ages of 23-41. None of the victims have been publicly identified. The most serious injury occurred when one of the victims was shot in the back.

After opening fire, the gunman fled the scene and is being hunted by the police.
