The desire for a Democrat victory this November was shown to be strongest in Denmark, where a whopping 80% of people surveyed stated that they wanted Biden to become 46th president of the United States, desired in Denmark, compared to a mere 6% for Republican incumbent Trump.
Support for Trump was shown to be strongest in Italy, but even then, only a total of 20% of Italians who were surveyed wanted him bac for a second term, while a majority of 58% Italians would prefer Joe Biden to win instead.
In the United Kingdom, which is often thought of as America's strongest European ally, the message was very similar; 61% of respondents (nearly two-thirds of those surveyed) claimed they wanted Biden to win the election, while a mere 13% of Brits surveyed were backing Donald Trump.
Furthermore, when asked their opinion on the subject of Trump's performance as president, respondents were even less favorable. According to the YouGov poll, only between 5% and 15% of Europeans overall think That Trump has made either a "great" or "good" president.
On the contrary, the vast majority of Europeans surveyed believed that Trump had done a poor job of running the United States while in office, with 61% of Italians to 82% of Danes of the opinion that Trump had actually been either “poor” or “terrible.”
However, when asked whether Biden would make a good president or not, the response from Europeans was more positive. For instance, a mere 6% of Danes and 13% of Brits thought Biden would make a bad president, while 17% to 23% of respondents in the various countries said they thought Biden would make a great one.
