A former nurse was sentenced after her husband caught her sexually abusing her 15-year-old stepson.
On July 26, 2024, Alexis Von Yates, 34, from Florida reportedly put her two children to bed before engaging in sexual activity with Frank's teen son while they watched a horror movie.
According to the arrest affidavit, the 15-year-old claimed to the cops that his step-mom said she was sexually frustrated because “she had not had sex in two weeks and she was on her period”.
They then started making out, which was when the older woman allegedly told the boy: “I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough," before having sexual contact with him.
The father, who is a lineman, had been working the night shift when he returned to his Ocala, Florida, home and found his wife and son on the couch, completely naked.
The teen was surprised by his dad and left the living room with his pants around his legs. Meanwhile, Von Yates hid under a blanket.
It has been alleged that Frank started throwing objects before calling his wife a "c***” and accusing her of being a “child predator”.
She then reportedly told him that her stepson reminded her of him when he was younger.
The ex-nurse also said that the boy, who is three years below the legal age of consent in Florida, didn't want to stop after the two began kissing and engaging in oral sex.
“The child victim told his father this was untrue, saying she was moaning to him and told him to keep going," the arrest affidavit read.
Von Yates was arrested on November 6, 2024, before losing her single state nursing license shortly afterward.
On Tuesday (September 16), the woman remained stone-faced as Florida Fifth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Timothy McCourt sentenced her to two years in prison.
She was originally charged with sexual battery by a person in familial authority, but the plea deal reduced the charge to lewd and lascivious battery on a child between the ages of 12 and 16.
Per the New York Post, she has now been ordered to serve 24 months in state prison, followed by two years of community control and 10 years of probation as a registered sex offender.
The child victim's mom attended the sentencing hearing and slammed Von Yates as an “incestuous pedophile” who groomed her son, and described the former health professional as a “coward” who had no guilt for her “despicable actions".
The boy’s mother also said her son had been violated by those who should’ve protected him, revealing the teen hasn’t spoken to his dad since the incident.
Von Yates was ordered not to have any contact with the victim before she was taken out of the courtroom.
