The brother-in-law of a woman trampled to death during the Capitol riot on Wednesday has stated that he believes Trump's words incited the deadly storming of the building.
Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennesaw, Georgia, was one of four civilians who died amid the chaos, Washington, DC police have stated, per Reuters.
In addition, one Capitol police officer also sustained fatal injuries.
Per Reuters, Boyland's brother-in-law, Justin Cave, told media outlets in Atlanta that his wife, Boyland's sister, had tried to dissuade her from attending the Trump rally in Washington, DC.
Boyland was "passionate about her beliefs" and her support for Trump, Cave told a local Fox television reporter.
Joe Biden calls Donald Trump one of the "most incompetent presidents" in US history:"I’ve never tried to be a political person, but it’s my own personal belief that the president’s words incited a riot that killed four of his biggest fans last night and I believe that we should invoke the 25th Amendment at this time," Cave said.
Police have not revealed the exact cause of Boyland’s death.
However, Justin Winchell, a friend who attended the Trump rally with Boyland and went with her to the Capitol, told WGCL that she was trampled to death while caught in a huge crowd of protesters and Capitol Police.
"I got my arm underneath her, that was pulling her out - pulling her out - and then another guy fell on top of her and another guy was just walking" over her, he said. "I mean, there was people crushed."
When Winchell was asked if Trump was to blame for his friend's death, he said: "Does he have blood on his hands? No!"

As reported by Reuters, Trump urged his supporters to attend the rally in DC, the day the US House of Representatives and Senate were set to affirm Joe Biden's election win. He then told them to walk to the Capitol "to fight."
Washington, DC police announced that three other civilians were killed in the rioting on Wednesday.
Ashli Babbitt, 35, from California, was shot by a Capitol Police officer, an incident which DC police are investigating.
