As the investigation into the tragic incident at a Kansas City Chiefs watch party continues, a fifth person who attended has come forward.

The unnamed man has shed new light on the events leading up to the heartbreaking discovery of three men, whose bodies were found frozen to death in their friend's backyard, the New York Post has reported.

This revelation offers potential details about the deceased trio's final hours.

The identity of the fifth individual has not been publicly disclosed, but he was present at the gathering alongside David Harrington, 37, Ricky Johnson, 38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, at Jordan Willis' Kansas City rental on January 7.

The men had gathered to watch their hometown team's last regular-season game, as revealed by Willis' attorney John Picerno to FOX 4.

According to the fifth friend, when he left the residence, Willis and the other three men were still awake, contradicting earlier statements. He clarified that he was not the last person to see Harrington, Johnson, and McGeeney alive before the tragic events unfolded.

The fifth individual arrived at the house around 7:00PM on January 7 and departed around midnight, as revealed by his attorney, Andrew Talge. At the time of his departure, all four men were reportedly watching Jeopardy - indicating that the three men were still alive in the early hours of Monday.

Per the Daily Mail, Willis claims he remained inside his home on January 8 and was unaware of the victims' cars parked outside. Concerned loved ones of the missing men say they began attempting to contact Willis, who did not respond.

On January 9, Clayton McGeeney’s fiancée, growing frantic after two days of silence from her partner, took matters into her own hands. She reportedly broke into the home and screamed Willis' name. She also reportedly discovered one of the bodies on the back porch.

A subsequent police welfare check at 9:51PM led to the grim discovery of all three bodies on the property.

Picerno revealed that Willis had no recollection of the events following his friends' departure from his home. Picerno stated to The Independent: "Jordan had absolutely nothing to do with their deaths. He does not know the timing or manner of their deaths, nor does he know how or when they exited his house. He had no knowledge that they remained in his back yard, or that they needed medical attention."

Picerno added that Willis was unaware that loved ones had been trying to locate his three missing friends.

And despite the fact that two of the cars parked on his street belonged to his deceased friends, Willis failed to notice them because they were not parked in his driveway.

"Two people came to his house; however, he did not hear them as he sleeps with earbuds and a loud fan," Picerno added. "One of those people, the wife of one of the deceased, tried to reach him via Facebook Messenger, unfortunately, he did not see the message until after the police contacted him."

Picerno reiterated that Willis had only received messages via Facebook Messenger during this period and had not been contacted through texts or calls. However, Talge's version of events paints a different picture.

According to Talge, his client received texts from McGeeney's fiancée and Johnson's mother, both expressing concern about their loved ones. In response, Talge's client reached out to Willis and Johnson but did not receive a reply.

The apparent contradiction between the two versions of events adds complexity to the ongoing investigation into this tragic incident, as the victims' families continue their search for answers.

Jonathan Price, Ricky Johnson's brother, pointed out discrepancies in the situation, telling the Daily Mail: "There's many different things that don't add up... We've heard that he's moving out as well, so we don't know if he'll even be sticking around much longer."

The Daily Mail has since reported that Willis has vacated the property and cleared his social media accounts following the tragedy.

Captain Jake Becchina of the Kansas City Police Department asserted that the case was "100% NOT being investigated as a homicide", emphasizing: "There have not been any arrests [or] charges, and no one is in custody." Furthermore, he assured that there were no immediate threats or concerns for the surrounding community.
