Dog photos surface on Facebook of Florida mom accused of sex act with pet

The Facebook page of a Florida mother accused of having sex with the family dog is still public, still being updated, and still full of old photographs showing her with multiple different dogs.
Malia Nummerdor, 38, was arrested on September 16 in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, after her husband told police he found home security footage showing her engaging in sexual contact with their pet, believed to be named Ranger.
Since the arrest, her Facebook page has become the strangest corner of the internet.
On the profile, the woman at the center of the storm has changed her display name from her real name to 'Mahh Lee Ahh'.
She has posted a new profile picture, and strangers have been working through her timeline, finding every photo that includes an animal.
How the husband found the footage
It's fair to say that he was not looking for anything like this.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office arrest report, he had installed cameras around the house to solve a minor domestic mystery: someone had been taking money from a coin jar and he wanted to know who.
Everyone in the household was reportedly aware the cameras existed.
While reviewing bedroom footage, the husband said he found a recording showing his wife partially undressed with the dog 'positioned in a manner consistent with sexual activity'.
He posted the allegations on Facebook before going to police, claiming to have both photo and video evidence.
Then, he brought the material to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office and handed over the laptop containing the footage.
What Nummerdor told police
Deputies interviewed her on September 15.
She confirmed she was the person in the video and that the dog was the family pet.
However, she denied any sexual contact, telling officers she had simply been petting or lying with the animal.
Investigators said her explanation did not match what the footage showed.
The arrest report states she 'could not provide a consistent explanation for what was seen on the camera'.
Nummedor then requested an attorney and the interview ended.
She was arrested the following day and charged with engaging in sexual contact with an animal under Florida law.
The dog photos
This is where it gets uncomfortable for a different reason.
Nummerdor's Facebook page contains photos of her with several different dogs taken over several years.
A photo from August 2022 shows two large dogs lying together on a tiled kitchen floor by a glass door.
One is a brown brindle pit bull type dog.
The other is a lighter tan dog of a similar build. It is an entirely normal picture of two pets sleeping in a kitchen.
It does not read that way anymore.
Reports have identified the dog involved in the allegation as Ranger, but with multiple animals visible across her page, the photo has drawn the inevitable question from at least one commenter: 'Which one is Ranger.'
Another - less subtly - wrote: 'Omg! Did she do all of these guys?!?'
Others were less restrained.
Several comments across her page have been removed or reported. The ones that remain range from dark humour to outright fury.
Weirdly, her recent profile picture change has also garnered a lot of attention.
The profile picture comments
Since the arrest, Nummerdor has updated her profile picture.
The comments underneath are not what you would expect for someone facing a bestiality charge.
Men have left messages including 'alright hottie', 'so so pretty', 'beautiful as always', and 'gorgeous eyes'.
One wrote 'you look pure and beautiful Malia', which received 23 laughing reactions from people who felt the word 'pure' was carrying more weight than it could handle.
Another referenced the mugshot taken during her booking, in which she is visibly grinning.
"Think I'm going to have to start calling you smiley," they wrote.
What happens next
Nummerdor has been charged but the case has not gone to trial.
She denies the allegations and is out on bond. Her attorney has not commented publicly.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office made the arrest public on the same day they announced a separate case involving a man charged with 'repeatedly abusing a puppy until its death'. It has been a week in Charlotte County.
Nummerdor's Facebook is still up, and the dog photos are still there.
Every time someone scrolls past a perfectly ordinary picture of two pets asleep on a kitchen floor, the comments underneath make sure they cannot see it as ordinary anymore.
