Michael Lee Murray, a 35-year-old resident of Sandy, Utah, purchased a used Subaru Outback from Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne for $4,000 on Monday morning (December 9), Fox 13 News reported.

As the man discovered that the car had significant mechanical issues, leading him to believe he had bought a "lemon", he returned to the dealership and asked for a refund, but management told him the Subaru was sold “as is” and could not be returned.

According to the publication, Tyler Slade - the platform manager - informed Murray before he bought the vehicle that it needed work. “We were very clear about the fact that this car is not retail,” he said. “It’s gonna need more inspecting and some work.”

Furious over being denied, the disgruntled customer allegedly threatened to drive the vehicle through the dealership's front door if they did not accept the return and give his money back.

“We’re like, 'Woah, we don’t need to do that.' Sit down, we can figure this out, we can find a solution," Slade said.

Around 4PM, he "did exactly that," the police report said.

A shocking video shared online shows the irate man driving the car directly into the building’s glass doors and taking out a desk.

“I told you motherf***ers! I told you!” he exclaimed as he walked over the broken glass and tore his coat off. An employee urged co-workers to call the cops as a visibly upset Murray exited through the destroyed front doors

Per The Mirror, the police affidavit noted: "Murray's vehicle was completely inside the building. The front doors were now inside the building, there was glass shattered all around where Murray's vehicle was and some pieces of the door and door frame had hit another vehicle that was in the showroom, causing damage to the side of that vehicle as well."

The arrest report said seven salesmen were close to the front door when the man allegedly rammed his vehicle through the door. Nobody was injured during the horrific incident, although the dealership suffered an estimated $10,000 in damages.

Murray was arrested, booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, and charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and economic interruption, per The New York Post.

He opened up about the incident to Inside Edition after his release, revealing that his anger over being denied a refund caused him to reach his “breaking point".

“I was just really angry, upset about my money,” he explained. “I just kind of blacked out for a second.”
