A chilling Facebook post left by the spring breaker who was found dead after being drugged and raped in Miami has been made public.
Christine Englehardt, 24, who found dead in her hotel room on Thursday (March 18), took to the social media platform urging women to trust their gut instinct if they ever felt unsafe.
As per the Daily Mail, she wrote on July 5, 2019: "Last week, I was running past the Tyler Arts Center building and saw in the parking lot a car with a white T shirt hanging out the driver's side window. As I was running past him, the car started beeping at me and the driver waved his hand out the window.
"I assumed he was broken down and needed help, but my gut feeling was telling me something wasn't right. So I kept running and didn't stop. Today around 1 pm, I ran past the same area and there was same car with the same T shirt hanging out.
"My heart started racing. As I ran past him, he beeped again and waved for my attention. I immediately knew that this was some kind of predator scheme. I waited until I wasn't in his sight to stop to call 911.
"Luckily, park workers were driving by and I stopped them and told them to get the park ranger to investigate for this was now the second time the same man was doing this. They dispatched the ranger immediately and thanked me for alerting them.
"So if you ever feel unsafe in ANY way or have a feeling something isn't right, DON'T hesitate to notify the police. Always go with your gut. Please be on alert for any suspicious people or cars. This is a dangerous world now unfortunately and you never know what anyone's true intentions are."
Yesterday (March 23), two men were charged with drugging and raping Englehardt – who had travelled to Miami for the annual Spring Break festivities alone from her home in Pennsylvania.
Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, are accused of giving Englehardt a green pill before sexually assaulting her.
Her body was then found at the Albion Hotel in South Beach, Miami.
In an interview with NBC Miami, Englehardt's father said that she traveled 1,200 miles from Bucks Country to spring break on her own.
He added that he had been informed that two men had been charged in connection with her death.
Collier and Taylor appeared in a Miami court in Miami on Monday under the charges of burglary with battery, petty theft, sexual battery, and credit card fraud.
However, if the drug they supplied to Englehardt is found to have played a role in her death, they will also be facing manslaughter or murder charges.
