The outlet’s founder, Alex Jones, announced on Monday (March 10) that Jamie White was killed near his apartment on Sunday night (March 9) while on his way home from work.
"I come to the Infowars family of viewers and listeners, and to the world, with some really horrible news," Jones said, cited by The Independent.
"There are a lot of really cool people that have worked at Infowars over the years, and one of the most amazing people was Jamie White ... Jamie was murdered last night outside of his home, just a few miles away from our studios,” he continued.
"We sent some people over this morning when he didn't answer the phone because he was always here early. Loves to work, loves to fight tyranny, loves to promote freedom. And when they got to the apartment complex, there was yellow tape everywhere and blood all over the parking lot,” Jones recounted.
He praised the police for their quick response and said InfoWars staff had been sent home to grieve. He did not speculate about who may have killed White or why.
The Austin Police Department has not officially confirmed White as the victim but did tell Fox 7 Austin that officers discovered a man with “obvious signs of trauma” in South Austin around midnight on Sunday. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
KXAN also reported that the victim was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Investigators were seen retrieving evidence from a second-floor apartment, according to the outlet.
Authorities have not named a suspect in the case but confirmed that an active investigation is underway.

The far-right presenter has blamed White's death on local Democratic politicians, including Austin District Attorney José Garza, who was elected in 2020 with backing from a Super PAC funded by Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros.
"I lay all of this squarely at the feet of these DAs and of the Soros crime syndicate, and of the Democratic Party," Jones said in his broadcast. "They are the ones that administratively cut the police, prosecuted the police, and even cases that are hundred percent clear to be lawful, legal activities.
"You murdered Jamie White, you opened the door; you created the climate; you created conditions on purpose. George Soros. Alexander Soros, you murdered Jamie White," he blasted.
"These are sick, degenerate, evil people that know what they're doing, and they aided and abetted. They are accomplices to the murder of a great American and Infowars long-time veteran reporter Jamie White," he concluded.
White's death marks the eighth homicide in Austin so far this year.
