Dads are embarrassing. Mine likes to break out in song and make stupid jokes. Saying “cut it out, dad” just comes with being a kid. However, being a weirdo is one thing – being creepy is a whole other can of worms.
Future president Donald Trump is probably in possession of the “World’s Grossest Dad” mug. After all of the inappropriate stuff he’s said about his daughter, Ivanka, that’s obvious. Here’s what I’m talking about: back in 1997 when Ivanka was only 16 she appeared at the Miss Teen USA pageant. Trump asked Miss Universe at the time: “Don’t you think my daughter’s hot? She’s hot, right?” Red flag.
When asked how Trump would feel if Ivanka were in playboy magazine, he claimed: “It would be really disappointing – not really – but it would depend on what’s inside the magazine.” Then he went on: “I don’t think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” Yikes.
If my dad said any of this about me, I’d probably slap him across the face.
Donald Trump has said a lot of creepy incestuous things to his daughter Ivanka, and it turns out she has responsed. Here’s what she had to say about the dating comment: “If he wasn’t my father, I would spray him with Mace.” Ouch. Her response was mentioned in the “Quotables” section of the Chicago Tribune. Remember the infamous “grab her by the p*ssy” comment? Ivanka had something to say about that too:
“Look, I’m not in every interaction my father has. But he’s not a groper. It’s not who he is. And I’ve known my father obviously my whole life and he has total respect for women.”
Speaking of respect for women, Trump has appointed just two women for jobs in his administration. South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley will be US Ambassador to the UN and Betsy DeVos has been named as future education secretary. We have less than two months until we find out if Trump can prove his suggested “respect” for women or if he’ll continue his trend of lewd actions and comments.
