The son of actor Jean-Claude, Nicholas Van Varenberg, has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for holding his roommate at knifepoint at their apartment in Phoenix, Arizona.
Van Varenberg, who is the youngest of the Belgian actor's three children, was arrested last September on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful imprisonment, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia following the fact.
Law enforcement report that Van Varenberg became angered at his unidentified roommate for answering the door, grabbed a knife and prevented the individual from leaving the property.
The 22-year-old entered a guilty plea at a change of plea hearing held last Wednesday.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on the 3rd of October, and authorities have purportedly said that he is likely to get probation.
Van Varenberg's mother is Van Damme's third wife, the model and actress, Darcy LaPier. The pair were married from 1994 - 1997.
The actor has been married a total of five times to four women. He has a son and a daughter with his third wife, Gladys Portugues, who he was wed to between 1987 and 1992. They remarried in 1999, following his divorce from LaPier in 1997.
Van Damme found fame after starring in a slew of martial arts films in the 80's and 90's, including Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Universal solider and Hard Target. He later featured in the Kung Fu Panda franchise.
