A statue of disgraced sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, has been left outside a city hall in New Mexico in a satirical attack on those defending racist monuments amid the recent resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The anonymous protestors in Albuquerque also seemingly took aim at President Donald Trump's defense of Confederate monuments by erecting the statue of the billionaire.

"If we don’t have a statue of Epstein, how will people learn?" shouted an individual who left the life-sized statue in downtown Albuquerque on Wednesday, according to a tweet by KRQE journalist Rachel Knapp.

According to the New York Post, the monument was left around 35 miles west of Epstein’s Zorro Ranch by a group that identified itself as the Antlion Art Collective.

A plaque on the front of the statue, written in the font Comic Sans, asserted that it was “Generously provided to Bernalillo County by the Antlion Entertainment Art Collection."

"Jeffrey (January 20, 1953 – August 10, 2019) was an American Financier, who started as a teacher and worked his way up from a low level assistant to being one of the top financial advisers in the USA. He had a home in New Mexico, Zorro Ranch. He was also a rapist who died in prison," the plaque continued, before listing the cases being brought to Epstein's estate by his accusers.

In what appears to be a sarcastic comment, a protestor told KRQUE: You know, so many statues are being taken down, but you know, people are saying that they’re bad people, so you know maybe we just need more statues of people like Epstein because that’s historical too."

"So we maybe need statues of people like Epstein. Maybe schools can even have statue parks with people like Hitler, and Mao and Lenin just so that we can really remember history."

The statue has since been removed by police authorities in Albuquerque.

Sky News reported today that Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and long-time friend of the late Jeffrey Epstein, has been arrested by the FBI.

Maxwell has kept a low profile since Epstein's death in August of last year. However, it was revealed today that she was arrested at 8:30AM in Bedford, New Hampshire, on Thursday (July 2) on charges related to the multimillionaire financier.

Per NBC New York, the six-count indictment in Manhattan federal court alleges that Maxwell helped Epstein groom girls as young as 14 years old, dating back as far as 1994.

"In some instances, Maxwell was present for and participated in the sexual abuse of minor victims," the indictment says.

Epstein reportedly committed suicide back in August while being held without bail pending his trial on federal child sex-trafficking charges.

The body of 66-year-old Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell in the Special Housing Unit of Manhattan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan.

Per the New York Post, in a 2015 defamation suit, Virginia Roberts Giuffre - one of Epstein's most vocal victims -  had accused Maxwell of recruiting her as a teenager. That case has since been settled.

Other alleged victims of Epstein have also accused Maxwell of "luring them into his circle", where they were reportedly sexually abused by Epstein and his high-profile friends.

Maxwell has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, labeling the accusations against her as "absolute rubbish".
