Joe Biden's Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced that Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga will perform at the inauguration next week.

Sharing the announcement to Twitter on Thursday morning (January 14), the committee posted a tweet stating: "The #InaugurationDay ceremony lineup is here!"

President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration will take place on January 20, despite the deadly riots that took place in the US Capitol last week that left five dead.

Per ABC News, the 59th inaugural swearing-in ceremony has been adjusted to accommodate for a more "at-home audience" amid the ongoing pandemic.

Biden's committee announced that 34-year-old Lady Gaga will perform the national anthem as the 46th US President is sworn-in, with 51-year-old Lopez slated to give a musical performance.

J-Lo also confirmed the news on her own personal Twitter account, sharing the following post with her fans:

Gaga has long been a vocal supporter of Biden, joining him and future Vice President Kamala Harris on their campaign trail.

Additionally, Lopez publically endorsed Biden for President during his campaign, sitting down with the future president to take part in a virtual interview.

The Daily Mail adds that a TV special is scheduled to air before the historic event, which will feature Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake.

Following last week's attack on the Capitol, Tony Allen, the CEO of the Presidential Inauguration Committee, has told Variety:

"Our first priority is safety - so while many of us will be watching safely from our homes, we are creating real moments of connection that highlight a new inclusive American era of leadership that works for and represents all Americans."

ABC News adds that the ceremony will also start with an invocation from Father Leo J. O'Donovan - a longtime friend of the Biden family and former president of Georgetown University.

Amanda Gorman, who was awarded the title of the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate in the US back in 2017, will also perform a reading.
