Joe Biden reveals what snacks he gave George Floyd's daughter during White House visit

Joe Biden has opened up about the visit George Floyd's family paid to the White House yesterday - even revealing what snacks he and team provided Floyd's daughter.

Per CNN, Biden stated in a later interview that he had enjoyed meeting seven-year-old Gianna Floyd, who had visited him and Vice President Harris on the first anniversary of her father's death.

The POTUS stated: "The first thing she did when she ran in, she just threw her arms around me, gave me a big hug, and wanted to sit in my lap."

He went on: "She said, 'I’m really hungry. Do you have any snacks?' [...] We gave her some ice cream, she had some Cheetos and I think she had some chocolate milk. I'm not sure."

The president spoke about his meeting with the family in a later statement made on Twitter, writing to his 11.3 million followers:

"Earlier today in the Oval Office, I met with George Floyd’s family. They’ve shown extraordinary courage over the last year, especially his young daughter Gianna, who I met again today.

"The day before her father’s funeral, she told me: 'Daddy changed the world'. He has."

Floyd's brothers Philonise and Terrance, sister Bridgett, Gianna and her mother, Roxie Washington, and Philonise's wife Keeta, traveled to Washington D.C. on Tuesday, May 25.

The family members met with also met with Nancy Pelosi and several other Democrat and Republican senators, to discuss the subjects of police reform and racial profiling in the United States.

Commenting on the experience in a later interview per People, Terrance Floyd later told reporters: "Being here today is an honor."

He went on: "To meet with the president and the vice president and for them to show concern for our family and for them to actually give an ear to our concerns and how we feel [about] the situation.

"I'm grateful for that [...] I think genuinely he wanted to know exactly how we were doing and what he could do to support us."

Meanwhile, Philonise Floyd stated: "It was great. [Biden's] a genuine guy.

"They always speak from the heart and it's a pleasure just to be able to have the chance to meet with him when we have the opportunity to."
