Joe Biden has spoken to his supporters in Wilmington, Delaware, and assured them the Democrats "are on track to win".

Appearing to the drive-in crowd shortly after midnight on November 4, the 77-year-old Democratic presidential nominee greeted the crowd by saying: "We feel good about where we are. We really do."

With his wife Jill at his side, Biden continued: "We feel we're on track to win this election. We knew, because of the unprecedented early vote, the mail-in vote, it was going to take a while. We have to be patient."

"And it ain't over until every vote is counted, every ballot is counted," he added. "But we're feeling good, we're feeling good about where we are."

Biden went on to share his predictions and hopes for uncounted states, telling the crowd: "We're confident about Arizona" and "we're still in the game in Georgia."

"We're gonna win Pennsylvania," he confidently declared.

To cheers from the crowd, Biden announced:

"We could know the results as early as tomorrow morning - it may take a little longer. As I've said all along; it's not my place or Donald Trump's place to declare who's won this election - that's the decision of the American people."

Biden concluded by telling his voters to "keep the faith", as supporters in attendance honked their car horns in support.

Shortly after his address, Biden took to Twitter to reiterate the message to his 12.2 million followers:
