Yesterday (Saturday, November 7), Joe Biden was projected* by multiple news and media outlets to become the 46th president of the United States.

Now, it has been reported that the projected president-elect spent the majority of his time at home yesterday with his family.

As reported by CNN, Biden found out that he has been projected to win the 2020 presidential election from his grandchildren, per a source on his campaign.

And a touching Biden family photo was later shared to Twitter by Biden's granddaughter, Naomi.

Captioning the heartwarming photo with yesterday's date - "11.07.20" - the picture shows Biden, 77, being embraced by his family as they celebrated the moment he had worked for years to achieve.

The post has proven very popular on the social media platform, receiving over 37.9K retweets and
more than 328.7K likes.

But Naomi wasn't the only member of the Biden family to take to social media to celebrate the Democratic presidential nominee's projected victory.

Dr. Jill Biden, 69, took to Instagram to share a picture of Joe and herself holding a sign reading: "Dr. And Vice President Biden Live Here" - with Jill's hand covering the word "vice".

Jill captioned the post: "He will be a President for all of our families," and it has since received over 885,000 likes, as of this writing.

Last night, in his first speech since being projected as the winner, Biden vowed to "restore the soul of America" and unify the United States.

Addressing Donald Trump's supporters, Biden said:

"And to those who voted for President Trump, I understand your disappointment tonight.

"I’ve lost a couple of elections myself. But now, let’s give each other a chance.

"It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric. To lower the temperature. To see each other again. To listen to each other again.

"To make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy.

"We are not enemies. We are Americans."
