One lucky Las Vegas gambler had a very merry Christmas this year after winning a $15.5 million jackpot on a slot machine.
After playing just $40 in a slot machine at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the man - named only as Kevin - hit the jackpot, and walked away with a life-changing $15,491,103.
To put the scale of his win into perspective, that's a 38,727,657.5% return on his original $40 bet.
The win came at approximately 12:30PM on Christmas Eve, and was later celebrated by casino officials, who took to the official Suncoast Hotel Twitter page to congratulate Kevin.
Sharing a photograph of Kevin hiding his face with a comically large check, the casino wrote to their near-13,000 followers: "MEGABUCKS JACKPOT ALERT!
"Congratulations to Kevin for hitting the $15,491,103 Megabucks Progressive Jackpot at
@suncoastcasino!"

And according to Boyd Gaming - the company that owns Suncoast Casino - Kevin's huge jackpot marks the biggest slot machine win Nevada has seen in eight years.
Speaking to Fox News, a spokesperson for Boyd Gaming said:
"It was certainly a Christmas Eve to remember. We’re excited and honored we could play a part in this historic holiday jackpot at the Suncoast."
Kevin will also be reportedly remaining anonymous for safety reasons, but did tell Boyd Gaming that he would be using some of the money to invest in his business. He also said that he would "pay it forward".
Since the news of Kevin's big win hit Twitter, several social media users have posted their congratulations to the slots player.
