LeBron James wears parody MAGA cap to call for justice for Breonna Taylor
Last night, LA Lakers legend LeBron James took the opportunity to use his team's opening NBA play-off game to send a powerful message.
Making his arrival at the AdventHealth Arena, the 35-year-old took a powerful stand against racial inequality and police brutality by donning a red baseball cap that parodied President Trump's famous 'Make America Great Again' hat.
However, James' red cap read: "Make America arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor", with "great again" crossed out.

In addition, LA Lakers teammates Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Jared Dudley, Quinn Cook, Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, and JR Smith also arrived wearing the same cap.
James teamed the statement cap with a t-shirt that read: "By Any Means".
And prior to the game against the Portland Trail Blazers, James was also absent for the playing of the national anthem.
James later added pictures of him wearing the cap and shirt to his Instagram account, along with the caption: "By Any Means‼️ Lets Get It #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor".
Last month, as reported by The Independent, James spoke out about the death of Taylor, saying: "The same energy that we have on the floor is the same energy that we have towards having justice for Breonna Taylor and her family.
"That's the energy that we bring to the game. That's just who we are.
"We want the cops arrested who committed that crime. As one of the leaders of this league, I want Taylor's family to know and the state of Kentucky to know [...] we want justice. And that's what it's all about. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. And this is a wrong situation that's going on."
Per the New York Times, Breonna Taylor was fatally shot at her home in Louisville home on March 13 by police officers who have not faced any action for the killing.
Taylor was a 26-year-old emergency room technician.
She was shot in the crossfire as officers opened fire at her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, who was shooting back at the cops.
According to The Louisville Courier Journal, Taylor did not receive any medical attention for up to 20 minutes after being shot.
Taylor's death, along with those of individuals like George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, sparked protests - some peaceful, some violent - across the US, as people called out the systemic injustices carried out against black people.
As well as a call for justice, these ongoing protests are also demanding an end to police brutality and the racism that is so deeply entrenched in America and the western world.
The message is simple: Black lives matter.
