President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk crossed paths again Sunday at the funeral of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.

This marked their first public appearance together since a very public feud.

The gathering took place inside State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona, where over 60,000 mourners paid their respects.

The Backstory: What Led to Trump and Musk's Feud

Their dispute dates back to June 2025, when Musk stepped away from his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Shortly afterwards, he voiced strong criticism of Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, arguing that the legislation could burden taxpayers with huge costs and substantially increase government debt.

Not one to hold back, Trump fired back.

At a Michigan rally in July 2025, he called Musk a “bulls*** artist” and added: “Maybe it's time he went back to where he came from.”

Musk also stirred controversy by posting - then quickly deleting - claims that federal authorities had additional information on Trump in the Jeffrey Epstein files, even suggesting the president should be impeached.

Lip Reader Reveals What Was Said At Kirk's Funeral

Inside the arena, Musk approached Trump’s box and shook his hand.

They spoke briefly before Trump appeared to gesture for Musk to move closer.

As reported by the Daily Mail, lip reader Nicola Hickling reported that Trump said, “How are you doing?” as he turned toward Musk to greet him.

Musk is then said to have shrugged, prompting Trump to continue: “So Elon, I’ve heard you wanted to chat.”

UFC icon Dana White joined in, and Trump suggested: “Let’s try and work out how to get back on track.”

Musk nodded in agreement. Trump then grasped Musk’s hand and said, “I’ve missed you.”

Kirk, Musk, and the 2024 Election Efforts

Both Charlie Kirk and Elon Musk played heavy roles in mobilising Republican voters during the 2024 election.

Musk reportedly invested over $290 million - largely through his super PAC, America PAC - to encourage voter registration in key swing states.

Kirk focused on engaging with students at college campuses across the country, pushing conservatives to register and vote.

The Funeral Atmosphere

As Trump entered the arena, thousands turned toward him, chanting “USA, USA, USA.”

He was greeted with a rousing show of support from the crowd.

The president, who described Kirk as a friend and praised his work growing conservative grassroots efforts, was accompanied by his sons Eric and Don Jr., and his son‑in‑law Jared Kushner.
