Lip reader 'exposes' what Eric Trump said to Natalie Harp in awkward exchange
A lip reader has revealed the contents of an awkward exchange between Eric Trump and the US leader’s closest aide, Natalie Harp, during the Freedom 250 Grand Prix on Sunday.
The US president was joined by his wife Melania, as well as son, Eric, for the event in Washington, D.C., which was part of the country’s 250th anniversary celebrations of Independence, but it was far from the major talking point.
Lipreader reveals what was said during conversation between the pair
Eric, Trump’s third-oldest child, was pictured in conversation with Harp, amid speculation regarding her relationship with his father, after a personal apology letter addressed to him had been leaked.
With a video of the pair going viral, professional lipreader Nicola Hickling told the Mirror US that Harp appeared to admit, “Apparently it’s fun,” seemingly in reference to the IndyCar event, with the exchange appearing to be friendly.
The lipreader then revealed that Eric retorted, saying to Harp, “I haven’t seen this many cars,” before Harp responded with: “Don’t worry, we will have fun.”
“Hopefully,” Eric replied, according to Hickling. “Will your car win?”
“Hopefully,” added Harp. “Have you picked a car number?”
“No, I haven’t; I’ll just watch,” Eris reportedly responded.
Questions raised over Harp's relationship with Trump
Harp, who has been regularly pictured in the Trump convoy, is reportedly the US leader’s closest confidant and, as White House Appointments Secretary, is always on hand.
So much so that rumors have been circulating regarding her professional relationship with Trump.
This comes after The Daily Beast released two letters Harp had allegedly written to Trump, including an apology for an incident in 2023, in which she was captured running on his golf course while the president was transported in a golf cart.
“I also am sorry if I was an embarrassment walking the course in Scotland. The first day I was told there were no carts, and people walked, which is why I walked,” Harp had written, according to the publication.
She added: “I’m sorry I lost my focus. You are all that matters to me. I don’t want to ever let you down.”
Harp then proceeded to express her gratitude, writing, “Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this life…”
Aside from the purported letters, Harp was allegedly one of a select few who joined Trump on his secret plane swap last month, due to security concerns around the war in Iran.
