The Super Bowl LIX is finally here!
And with 75,000 fans pouring into the Caesars Superdome to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles, there’s one crucial thing to keep in mind; the stadium’s list of banned items.

Bringing the wrong thing won’t just get it confiscated; it could even get you kicked out before kickoff.
While some items on the list are obvious, others are downright strange.

The Most Unexpected Items You Can’t Bring
This might seem like common sense, but apparently, it needs to be said — this is a football game, not a beach party.
While tossing a beach ball through the crowd might seem like harmless fun, stadium officials are making sure it doesn’t happen. If you were hoping to sneak one in for a mid-game volleyball session, think again.

This one is surprising. Fanny packs, also known as bum bags, are a great way to keep your essentials secure, yet they’re completely banned from the Superdome.
Whether it’s for security reasons or just an arbitrary rule, one thing is clear — if your belongings don’t fit in your pockets, you’ll need to find another way to carry them.
GlitterIf you were planning to bring some extra sparkle to the Super Bowl, you’ll have to rethink your outfit.
Glitter is strictly prohibited, and while there’s no official explanation, it’s likely because it creates a mess that’s nearly impossible to clean up. So if you had visions of dazzling up the stands, you’re out of luck.
StickersYes, even stickers have made the list. The stadium hasn’t given a specific reason, but it’s safe to assume they don’t want people sticking them on seats, walls, or anywhere else.
Whether it’s a sports logo, a political slogan, or just a fun design, all stickers will have to stay behind.
Full List of Prohibited Items
To avoid any trouble at the gate, here’s everything that is not allowed inside the stadium:
- Animals (service dogs are the exception)
- Backpacks and oversized bags
- Banners (large or inappropriate ones)
- Bats, clubs, poles, and sticks
- Bottles, cans, and containers
- Contraband and weapons
- Fanny packs
- Fireworks and laser pointers
- Glass and helium balloons
- iPads and tablets
- Mace and projectiles
- Mascot headwear
- Noisemakers and whistles
- Outside food and drinks
- Drones
- Selfie sticks
- Unauthorized marketing and vending
- Video and audio recording devices, including GoPros
Bag Policy: What’s Allowed?
If you plan on bringing a bag, it must follow the stadium’s "All Clear" bag policy. That means only transparent bags are allowed, and they cannot exceed 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches.
The official Superdome website states:
"The following are the only bags permitted into the Superdome:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
- One-gallon clear plastic bags (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap
- Diaper bags must comply with the NFL's clear bag policy
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection and tagging.
"NOTE: The following bags are not permitted:
- Clear backpacks
- Clear fanny packs"
Before heading to the stadium, double-check your belongings and make sure you’re not carrying anything on the banned list. Getting turned away at the gate over something as small as a sticker or a fanny pack is not how you want to start Super Bowl Sunday.
