A man has vowed never to dine at The Chowder House restaurant in Fairbanks, Alaska, ever again - after complaining that an employee was wearing an anti-racism t-shirt.

The Chowder House employee, who uses the Twitter handle @bryantinak, tweeted: "Someone complained about me wearing my favorite shirt today on our Facebook page, now I can’t wear it at work anymore".

Bryan also attached screenshots of the Facebook complaint and a photo of the t-shirt.

In the review, in which the man "doesn't recommend" the restaurant, the disgruntled customer writes:

"Really enjoyed your food and service but this is a business and as a customer I'd prefer not to have your employee's ideology's plastered on a t-shirt.

"This isn’t a professional shirt for work and will be the last time I visit your establishment. I know my patronage alone won’t effect you but good luck with your social warrior campaign."

The t-shirt reads: "Hi. Don't be racist. Thanks."

But this story did not end there. After posting the complaint, the reviewer was forced to contend with a stream of comments bashing him for leaving such a negative review - with some people labeling him a "racist".

Bryan also reiterated that his bosses have no problem with him wearing the shirt, and revealed that they were backing their employee: "Talked to my bosses. They were upset at the customer for making an absurd complaint.

"I misunderstood the upset (we were in the middle of a rush) as being directed at me. They have no problem with me wearing the shirt and actually urge me to continue to if I wish to do so."

And in yet another update, the unhappy customer ended up deleting his negative review, with Bryan telling his followers:

"So many people direct messaged the guy that he deleted his bad review. I will continue wearing my plethora of anti-racism/homophobia/colonization/etc shirts and we ended up getting a lot of positive reviews about how my bosses handled everything. Game, set, match."

Bryan even revealed that his bosses have ordered even more of the shirts so that all the restaurant employees can wear one.

And as a result of Bryan's sharing and his bosses' actions, the restaurant's Facebook page has been flooded with positive reviews:
