Marjorie Taylor Greene speaks out on Andrew arrest as she launches furious attack on Trump over Epstein
Donald Trump is under increasing scrutiny from lawmakers regarding the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, especially after the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor by British police.
The arrest of Andrew has reignited debates over the lack of significant action in the United States, with several prominent figures criticizing the administration for not pursuing similar investigations or arrests related to Epstein.
Marjorie Taylor Greene's Criticism of the Administration
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a well-known figure within the MAGA movement, is leading the charge in calling out the lack of accountability for those involved with Epstein.
Following Andrew's arrest on Thursday, Greene voiced her frustrations on social media, accusing the administration of inaction.
"The UK has arrested Andrew because of the Epstein files and over here the President signed an EO protecting cancer causing Glyphosate in our foods and we have zero Epstein related arrest and investigations since release of the files," Greene posted on X, referring to the President's recent health policy decisions.
She also added: "We are on the verge of going to war against Iran. That's the current state of MAGA."
Democrats Push for Accountability in the Epstein Investigation
While Republicans like Greene have been vocal, Democrats are also ramping up their calls for action.
The Justice Department’s recent release of the remaining Epstein documents has intensified demands for U.S. authorities to follow the lead of the UK and pursue prosecutions.
Rep. Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts, a member of the powerful House Oversight Committee, expressed his disappointment with the lack of progress in the U.S. investigation.
Speaking to CNN, Lynch said: "It offers a great contrast. Look what the British government is doing in light of the evidence, and look what the US government is doing. Nothing. Our chief law enforcement officer Pam Bondi is defending and obstructing the investigation."
Calls for Andrew's Testimony in Congress
Following the arrest, lawmakers are pushing for Andrew to testify before Congress regarding the Epstein case.
This comes after his royal title was stripped last year, and growing public pressure to hold him accountable. Lynch, alongside other U.S. lawmakers, had previously called for Andrew to testify about his connections to Epstein during an October 2025 interview on BBC's Newsnight.
Rep. Melanie Stansbury, a Democrat from New Mexico, also weighed in, saying: "If a Prince can be held accountable, so can a President."
Oversight Democrats Push for Further Investigations
The Oversight Democrats are making it clear that their efforts are far from over.
Their official X account pledged that no one connected to Jeffrey Epstein would escape accountability. "Our work is just beginning, and we will pursue justice for every individual who participated in the abuse of women and girls," they wrote.
Ro Khanna, a Democratic Congressman from California, has been another vocal proponent of the push for accountability.
Along with Thomas Massie, Khanna helped lead the charge for the release of Epstein-related documents.
He tweeted, "Even princes are not above the law," referencing the arrest of Andrew. Khanna also highlighted a key piece of evidence - an email showing that Andrew allegedly shared state information with Epstein.
Khanna added: "@RepThomasMassie & I forced the release of an email showing former prince Andrew allegedly shared state information with Epstein."
Khanna’s call for action extended beyond the U.S., stating: "On Feb 9th, I called on King Charles to investigate & answer questions."
The Investigation Into Andrew's Role
For the past ten days, investigators in the UK have been investigating Andrew’s conduct as a trade envoy.
The Epstein Files revealed that he may have shared sensitive and confidential information with Epstein, including details about his official visits and potential investment opportunities.
This is one of the key areas being probed by UK authorities as part of a broader investigation into the former prince's actions.
