Twitter has suspended the account of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene once again, as House Democrats move to expel the lawmaker from Congress.

Taking to the social media platform Telegram on Friday (March 19), Greene, who has shown support for the unfounded, far-right QAnon conspiracy theory, revealed that she had her account features on Twitter have been temporarily limited.

In a screenshot shared by Greene on Telegram, the social media giant informed the defiant Trump supporter: "We have determined that you have violated the Twitter Rules, so we've temporarily limited some of your account features."

It goes on to explain that for the next 12 hours, Greene will still be able to browse Twitter, but cannot post tweets or retweets, or even like tweets.

Commenting on Telegram about Twitter's temporary suspension of her account, the 46-year-old politician suggested that it was no coincidence that it came as Democrats plan to introduce a resolution to expel her from Congress.

"And all of a sudden overnight, Twitter suspended me at 1 am for 12 hours for absolutely no reason, with no explanation," Greene wrote. "They're doing everything they can to silence me because I am a threat to the Swamp!"

The Twitter suspension comes as 72 House Democrats co-sponsored Representative Jimmy Gomez's resolution to expel Greene from Congress, the Independent reports.

"I take no joy in introducing this resolution, but any member who cites political violence and threatens our lives must be expelled. I’m not saying this for shock value," Gomez said, per the paper.

For Greene to be expelled from office, the resolution would need a two-thirds majority of support from lawmakers in the House.

A spokesperson for Gomez noted however that "despite numerous efforts to reach out to House Republicans – and quite a few conversations – none of them were willing to publicly support the resolution at this time."

While she has been blocked from her personal Twitter account, the block does not seem to have been applied to her congressional Twitter account.

A spokesperson for Greene confirmed to The Gateway Pundit that she has indeed been suspended from tweeting.

In terms of her suspension, it's not clear how Greene came to violate the terms of her Twitter account, however, this is not the first time she has been locked out of it.

As reported by CNN, Twitter suspended Greene's account for 12 hours in January after she repeatedly violated the platform's new rules that were put in place following the deadly US Capitol riot earlier that month.
