Mom accused of having sex with family dog 'still sees pets at night' despite facing criminal charges
The mom accused of having sex with her family's dog is now reportedly banned from spending time with her kids, but still returns home to spend time with her pets.
Florida resident Malia Nummerdor, 38, was arrested after being accused of engaging in sexual activity with her family dog.
Nummerdor is currently out on bail and is couch-surfing with friends. Despite facing serious charges, however, she's still permitted to return home in the evenings to eat dinner.
But while her access to her children has been rescinded, she can still spend time with her pets.
Case has "unsettled" neighbors
Nummerdor is currently not allowed to stay overnight at her residence in Punta Gorda - but she is allowed to visit the property to have her evening meals, since she currently has nowhere to stay. However, it is still unclear why the Florida resident cannot stay at the property overnight.
The case has "unsettled" the quiet neighborhood she used to call home. Although Nummerdor is barred from having contact with her two sons she shares from a previous relationship, it is believed that she still has multiple dogs at the property.
However, an insider has stated that, following on from her arrest, Nummerdor - who claims that her career is "ruined" - is determined to fight against the allegations.
"Malia believes she has done nothing wrong," a source told the Daily Star. "She has never broken the law prior to this allegation. She is confident that all of this will be dropped."
How Malia Nummerdor's husband found "disturbing" evidence
The case traces back to Nummerdor's husband, Erik, who got in touch with police, claiming he had both photo and video evidence of his wife committing the alleged acts.
Erik originally posted the allegations on Facebook and was contacted by the police. He'd stumbled upon a video from a camera in the property's bedroom, where he alleges he first discovered evidence of his wife engaging in sexual activity with a dog.
As per documents pertaining to the case, police were shown images from the recording and then gained access to Erik's laptop.
The investigation into the allegations began on September 11. A detective on the case noted: "I reviewed the images and observed an adult female, identified by Erik as Malia, nude from the waist down, positioned with the dog in a manner consistent with sexual activity."
Nummerdor confirmed her identity but denied any wrongdoing and claimed Erik posted the clip without her permission.
The affidavit in the case notes that Nummerdor "could not provide a consistent explanation for what was seen on the camera."
Her trial is set to begin October 19. Malia Nummerdor denies the accusations levied against her.
