Sara Burack, a high-end real estate agent who once competed in the cutthroat world of luxury listings on the hit streaming show, was found unconscious on a road in Hampton Bays around 3PM on Thursday (June 19).

According to Newsday, authorities say the 40-year-old was left to die in the street by an unidentified driver who fled the scene without a trace.

As of now, police have not identified any witnesses or details about the vehicle that hit her, per Dan’s Papers.

Southampton Town Police Detectives and the New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene, but the case remains wide open.

Burack made her mark in the world of luxury property, first working for Nest Seekers International - a top-tier real estate agency dealing in swanky listings across Manhattan and the Hamptons.

She later became a recognizable face on Million Dollar Beach House, a reality series that dives into the ultra-competitive lives of young agents selling dream homes to the elite.

“The competition is fierce - and the drama undeniable,” reads the show’s description on Netflix.

Before her real estate stardom, Burack spent years working in her family’s commercial construction and materials business. That hands-on experience laid the foundation for her real estate success.

“I have always been intrigued by real estate projects,” she once told Hamptons.com. “I decided to become a broker after my experience as a summer property manager in the summer house I would rent.”

Geoff Gifkins, Hamptons regional manager for Nest Seekers, confirmed Burack had left the agency more than a year ago but remained in close contact. “Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends,” he said. “Please be kind and respectful, as this is a tremendous loss to her parents and close friends.”

Close family friend and fellow real estate agent Paulette Corsair shared heartfelt words about the woman behind the hustle.

“I want people to remember she was an amazing person who really cared for people,” Corsair told Newsday. “She was a hardworking real estate agent who was there for others. She was loved greatly by her friends and a close family.”

Before Million Dollar Beach House premiered, Burack hyped the show as a luxurious lens into life among the East Coast elite.

“Viewers will be taken into the world of the Hamptons where they will see not only beautiful multimillion-dollar beach homes and estates, but will be shown summer in the Hamptons,” she shared. “With scenes from broker open houses, polo games, yacht life, and more, there is sure to be an awww from viewers!”

Now, friends and fans are mourning a woman who brought elegance, energy, and ambition to everything she did.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run that killed Burack to come forward.

So far, there’s no vehicle description, no suspects, and no confirmed witnesses.

Our thoughts are with Burack's loved ones at this time.
