Donald Trump's state visit to the UK may have been short, but it was filled with talking points that we've come to expect.

One moment caught the eye as the President was captured in an image next to King Charles.

But it's left people questioning the authenticity of the image.

The Royal Photo Controversy: Editing Fail or AI?

One moment quickly went viral.

A photo of Trump standing next to King Charles III, posted on the official White House Instagram account, caught the public's attention for an unusual reason.

In the image, both figures are smiling, but many were quick to point out what seemed like a flaw in the editing, specifically concerning Trump’s teeth.

Social media users quickly started pointing out what they believed was an overzealous whitening of Trump’s teeth. One Instagram user wrote: “Whoever did the teeth whitening editing needs to be fired.”

The comment received over 7,000 likes, and others joined in, criticizing the "FaceTune fail": “The FaceTune teeth whitening was a massive fail. You’re fired!”

A second said: “Now whoever does the editing of press pictures for the White House needs to be fired!! Never saw anything like this ever! How extremely embarrassing.”

The backlash didn’t stop there. Some users even speculated that the photo had been created using artificial intelligence, as one commenter quipped: “Is that Donald’s double or is it A-I?”

Another person added: “Was this picture AI generated?? Looks a bit off.”

There were even comparisons to a wax figure, with one fan saying: “Trump looks like a wax figure.”

Trump and King Charles Discuss the “Special Relationship”

In addition to Trump’s photo drama, the two leaders also discussed the special relationship between the US and the UK, reaffirming the bond that has long existed between the two nations.

Trump, referencing their shared history, noted that the phrase “special relationship” didn’t adequately capture the full extent of their alliance: “Together we’ve done more good for humanity than any two countries in all of history.”

King Charles, in his own address, spoke humorously about the US-UK relationship, recalling the media’s past attempts to deepen ties between the two countries in the 1970s.

He remarked: "Had the media succeeded in the 1970s in their own attempt at deepening the special relationship, I myself might have been married off within the Nixon family.”

The king also discussed the present-day geopolitical climate, emphasizing the critical role the US and UK play in supporting Ukraine and deterring global aggression: “Today, as tyranny once again threatens Europe, we and our allies stand together in support of Ukraine, to deter aggression and secure peace."
