A single word found 911 times in the Epstein files appears to have revealed a "secret code" that he may have used to discuss his horrific crimes.
The 800,000 pages of newly released records contain over 3 million documents, revealing emails, photographs, and internal correspondence detailing the disgraced financier's connections to high-profile figures across multiple sectors.
While many of the names had surfaced in prior reports, this latest release offers fresh details on the extent of their interactions with Epstein.
One of the most startling discoveries from the files was a code involving "cheese" and "pizza" emojis.
According to The Telegraph, these emojis have been used by some individuals to covertly signal the sharing of sexually explicit images involving minors, and were reportedly employed by those linked to Epstein to discuss such content in secret.
The code was highlighted by India, a London-based parent, who had created the group ProtectPD to investigate and report suspicious accounts on social media sharing images of children online.
In an interview with the outlet, she revealed that many of these disturbing images were often taken from parents’ social media profiles, and predators would use these platforms to trade them.
John Carr OBE, an online child protection expert, described this phenomenon as “horrifying” and stressed the importance of parents maintaining privacy on their social media accounts to avoid such exploitation.
"It is understandable that parents want to share pictures of their children with friends and relatives, but if their social media accounts are not private these photos can be seen - and taken - by anyone," he said.
“This is about parents not thinking because they are not aware that these bad guys are out there doing this," Carr added.
Epstein's Connections
The release of the files coincides with alarming new revelations about Epstein’s ties to powerful individuals, many of whom have long been rumored to be part of his inner circle.
Among those named are billionaires, celebrities, and politicians, including Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, and former First Lady Melania Trump.
Some of the individuals, like Musk and Gates, have denied any wrongdoing or involvement, with Musk vehemently rejecting the claims and stating he had never attended any of Epstein’s events.
Billionaire Richard Branson’s name appears in several documents, revealing his interactions with Epstein, including a 2013 email in which Epstein thanked Branson for his hospitality after a visit to Branson’s private island.
Although Branson denied any inappropriate behavior, the newly released documents continue to fuel speculation about the nature of their relationship.
One particularly troubling piece of correspondence revealed that Prince Andrew, who is now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace for a dinner in 2010.
Though Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any allegations of abuse, he did settle a lawsuit with one of Epstein’s victims in 2022.
