The police in Florida have shared a man's seven-word statement to his girlfriend's daughter after allegedly shooting her mom dead.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Timothy Hyder, 57, of St Cloud, Florida allegedly shot Natalie Du’Mee in the head after she returned his engagement ring and called off their wedding.
Fox 35 reported that the pair had just come home after attending a football party where they had had a few drinks and got into an argument about their three-year relationship. The fight, which took place on the porch of their home, quickly escalated and Du’Mee told Hyder that she wasn’t going to marry him.
With that, he went into the home to retrieve his gun and returned to Du’mee, with her daughter allegedly seeing the 57-year-old come upstairs to a closet adjacent to the room she was in, as per the Osceola News Gazette.

There he asked Du'Mee if she was serious about not wanting to marry him anymore. When she responded "Yes", Hyder told the police that he shot her in the side of the head, per their report, telling them he "put one right in the back of her head."
Du'Mee's daughter then came running downstairs after hearing the gunshot, telling the authorities that she saw her mother bleeding from the neck and mouth before attempting to help her.
"It’s over, I blew her brains out," he reportedly told the distraught daughter before telling her to call 911.
Officers arrived at the couple’s residence on Western Sun Drive to find the mother deceased on the back patio. Authorities also searched the house and found a handgun “in plain sight” on the kitchen counter, according to Fox 35.

Hyder was taken into custody without incident, and fully cooperated with police upon their arrival, per the arrest affidavit.
He later told the police that he'd "snapped" and wished he could take back what he did.
Hyder is being held in the Osceola County jail and facing a charge of second-degree murder, according to the Miami Herald.
In a statement, St. Cloud police chief Douglas Goerke said: "Our hearts go out to the victim and her loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.
