A married federal prison guard who had sex with an inmate in her office, paid other inmates to stand lookout, got high on duty, and had a pregnancy scare she panicked about in writing has been charged after investigators took her phone and read the lot.
Jordan Pensak, 27, worked at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
She has been charged with sexual abuse of a ward, an offence that carries a maximum sentence of 15 years.
The complaint is built almost entirely from her own text messages, of which there are over 1,000.
The messages span from February 2025 through May 2026.
Most were sent to friends or former inmates, and all were recovered from Pensak's phone after investigators seized it.
In one message from early 2026, she described a near miss during a sexual encounter in her office at the prison.
"The lookout knocked on the door and opened it without us saying shit and he almost seen dick swanginnn," she wrote.
That did not stop her.
In another conversation, she said she and the inmate would 'go f***ed up at work, high [as f***].'
The complaint doesn't say what they were taking.
When someone inside the prison snitched on them, she wasn't worried.
"They can't prove nothing," she wrote.
Investigators took her phone shortly after. They proved everything.
In January 2026, Pensak messaged a former inmate: "Im 3 days late for my period you ready to be an uncle?"
Then: "That aint good for the investigation."
Then the line that has got the most attention since the complaint went public: "If the baby black and my husband white and Korean?!"
By February, she told a friend she was a full week late.
She said keeping a pregnancy 'would make the investigation 1000x worse.'
The filings don't say whether she was actually pregnant.
In her office. At the prison. While other inmates stood outside the door as paid lookouts.
Fort Dix is a low-security federal facility in Burlington County, New Jersey. It holds around 3,800 male inmates and is one of the biggest federal prisons in the country.
One count of sexual abuse of a ward.
Under federal law, any sexual contact between a corrections officer and an inmate is classified as abuse regardless of apparent consent.
The power imbalance makes genuine consent legally impossible.
Pensak appeared before a magistrate on July 29, was released on bail, and placed on administrative leave.
She lives in North Brunswick, New Jersey, and court documents describe her as married.
Last year, a video of a female prison officer having sex with an inmate at HMP Wandsworth in London went viral after it was filmed on a contraband phone by another prisoner.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, was married and running an OnlyFans account at the time.
She pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office and got 15 months.
She later responded publicly to claims about what happened, disputing parts of the reporting.
At HMP Birmingham, another officer was caught on a secretly installed camera having sex with a prisoner in a store cupboard.
She said the inmate made her feel 'cherished'.
She was jailed for misconduct in public office.
Pensak's case stands out because of the sheer volume of self-incriminating evidence.
Over 100 messages, as well as drug admissions and a pregnancy scare that she herself documented in real time.
She described the lookout system herself and even sent a text insisting nobody could prove anything, sent from the phone investigators were about to seize.
'They can't prove nothing' is doing a lot of heavy lifting as a last line of defence.
