An 11-year-old girl wrote a terrifying message to her Zoom classmates to let them know her home was being attacked by robbers.

The robbers bundled the girl into the family home's bathroom on Friday (March 19) while intruders ransacked the building in San Fransisco, California, as per The Sun.

The girl was taking part in remote learning as many others in the state are doing as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

She then decided to plead for help on her bathroom wall in the hope that one of her Zoom classmates would realize that something was wrong.

"Help ... [her name]... robbers!!" she wrote.

The owner of the home, the girl's cousin, said that when he returned, the house had been ransacked and his belongings were littered all over the place.

Pillowcases had been used to steal items from the house, San Francisco Gate reported.

While the girl was understandably frightened when she was ushered into the bathroom during the robbery, she was ultimately unharmed.

In a GoFundMe post, the family stated that they believe they were the victims of a hate crime and have reported the incident to the Colma police.

The 11-year-old girl explained to KGO that one of the men who robbed the home grabbed her by the shirt before bundling her into the bathroom.

She said that she feared that she was going to be kidnapped or murdered.

The family says they are "scared these robbers are still out there" but are "remaining strong."

This incident comes after President Biden condemned hate crimes towards Asian Americans earlier this month.

Biden said there have been "vicious hate crimes against Asian Americans who've been attacked, harassed, blamed and scapegoated" for the ongoing pandemic.

"At this very moment, so many of them, our fellow Americans, are on the front lines of this pandemic trying to save lives and still are forced to live in fear for their lives just walking down streets in America. It's wrong, it's un-American, and it must stop," he added.

According to a report, hate crimes related to the Asian community soared by almost 150% in big cities.
