A WWE superfan who traveled from England to attend WrestleMania 42 has been found dead in Las Vegas.
Marc Izard had traveled to the US for WWE’s biggest weekend of the year, attending festivities surrounding the event before he was reported missing.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the 43-year-old was last seen leaving Allegiant Stadium after SmackDown on April 17.
Days later, the Clark County coroner’s office disclosed that Izard died on April 18 in the 1730 block of Las Vegas Boulevard South, between East St. Louis Avenue and Oakley Boulevard.
His cause and manner of death remain pending.
Concern had grown in the days after Izard disappeared, with WWE star Natalya among those publicly trying to help locate him.
The daughter of Hall of Famer Jim Neidhart had been the last person pictured with Izard, after the pair posed for a photo during a signing on April 16.
As search efforts intensified, she shared a plea on X, writing: "A member of our wrestling family, Marc Izard, is currently missing after WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas. His last known sighting was leaving the arena after SmackDown on April 17.
"His last photo taken was with me at my signing. If you have any information at all, please reach out to the email listed in the poster as well as @LVMPD. Let's come together and help bring Marc home safely," she added.
After the heartbreaking news was confirmed, many people in the wrestling community took to their social media to share tribute posts.
Natalya penned an emotional post on Tuesday (April 28), writing: "Hearing about the passing of someone from our wrestling family, Marc Izard, is heartbreaking.
"Wrestling brings people together in such a special way, and moments like this remind us how precious life truly is. My thoughts are with Marc’s family, friends, and everyone who loved him," she added.
YouTube personality Perched On The Top Rope, who had also shared appeals during the search, said on X: "I did not know Marc, but my friends remember seeing him at WWE World. My heart breaks for his family.
"He came to the USA to have a good time at WrestleMania and sadly passed away. May he Rest In Peace," they added.
Wrestling reporter Sean Ross added: "Man. This is tragic. Rest in peace to Marc :("
Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
