The most highly anticipated wedding of the year is set to take place at one of the US’ most iconic venues this weekend and unsurprisingly the 1000 or more guests have been asked to swear to secrecy.
However, the rules popstar bride-to-be Taylor Swift and her groom Travis Kelce have laid out are not as strict as might have been expected.
The non-disclosure agreement that guests were sent alongside their invitations to the ceremony of the century at Madison Square Garden did not make any mention of financial or legal punishment if the terms are broken, according to TMZ.
Everyone on the star-studded guest list, which includes Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, and more, has been asked not to share any details about the nuptials.
Although, according to an industry insider, Stevie Knicks and Tim McGraw are set to perform at the ceremony on Friday, the NDA documents did not include a film release.
The insider also added that the celebrations will span a number of days and an intimate rehearsal dinner will be held at the iconic Manhattan venue the evening before; however, there are rumors that the pop star and NFL player may have already officially tied the knot.
New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani accidentally revealed the supposedly secret date and venue last week when he discussed the city’s plan for the hectic July 4th weekend during a press conference.
He slipped up by saying: “We are the biggest city in the country. We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one.
“We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding all happening at the same time.”
Reassuring locals, he also added that he is “fully confident in the work of the NYPD” to provide a “safe experience” over the chaotic three-day weekend.
On July 5, a World Cup match is being played in neighboring East Rutherford, New Jersey, and it is set to coincide with a few other “big events” in the city.
The couple announced their engagement in August last year with a joint Instagram post of pictures from the garden proposal with the caption: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
