Grigg was discovered by her husband, Cameron Grigg, who rushed her to the hospital.
Tragically, she passed away shortly after arriving, though she remained at the facility for organ donation.
Less than a week after her passing, Grigg’s cause of death was confirmed.
On Thursday, October 10, TODAY reported that the young influencer died due to complications from asthma and Addison’s disease, according to a family representative.
A source also told PEOPLE that a severe asthma attack led to further complications, resulting in her death.
Months before her sudden passing in early October, Grigg opened up about her ongoing health battles in a candid TikTok post.

In the video shared on August 8, Taylor revealed why she had chosen to keep her diagnosis private, explaining that she wanted to avoid unsolicited advice and pressure from others.
"I didn't want to leave room for people to make suggestions or tell me what to do," Taylor said in the video.
"In the past, I caught myself doing stuff because people on the internet told me I have to [be a certain way], and I'm just done doing that. And that is why I'm choosing to keep my health issues silent."
She went on to explain that after a prolonged period of uncertainty and pain, she had finally received a diagnosis from her doctor.
Before that, Taylor described the extreme physical and emotional toll her health struggles had taken on her.
"When I didn't know what was wrong with me, I would be in bed, writhing in pain, just wishing to be dead because I just wanted it to end," she shared. "I don't necessarily feel that way now, but like I said, I feel like I have to fight to live and be here every day."
Taylor also mentioned that she had found a sense of peace and comfort by living in a low-stress environment with her husband and dog. She noted that reducing stress had been a crucial part of managing her health.
"I don't have anything weighing on me or any stress or any chaos," she explained. "I used to say that 'I thrive off chaos,' but stress is one of the things that [made me sick] so I'm really enjoying being in a non-stressful environment."
To help the family during this challenging time, a GoFundMe page was created by a family friend.
According to Cameron, the loss was so sudden that there had been no time to prepare financially.
The fundraiser has since raised over $51,000, with fans and friends expressing their condolences and sharing how much Grigg inspired them.
