Two brothers who slaughtered their family before killing themselves bragged about how easy it was to obtain their murder weapons.

Per The Washington Post, brothers Farhan Towhid, 19, and  Tanvir Towhid, 21, had made a suicide pact after tragically killing four members of their family, in Allen, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.

The bodies were discovered by police on Monday, April 5, after an individual who knew the family came across a detailed social media post by Farhan stating that he and his brother had killed both themselves and their family.

As reported by the Post, Farhan claimed in the social media note that it was easy to get their hands on the guns despite their mental health issues due to inadequate gun laws in the US.

"Gun control in the US is a joke," Farhan wrote.

The younger brother also shared that he had been suffering from depression since high school and that he had a tendency of turning to self-harm. Farhan wrote that Tanvir, too, was "depressed and socially anxious".

Farhan shared that they had come up with a plan to end not only their lives but the lives of their family too.

"Instead of having to deal with the aftermath of my suicide, I could just do them a favor and take them with me," the note read.

Farhan is believed to have shared the six-page suicide note on social media before he and his elder brother killed their family. It is believed that the murder-suicide occurred on Saturday night.

"It looks like the two … sons entered into an agreement that they were going to [die by] suicide and that they were going to take their family members with them," Allen Police Department Sgt. Jon Felty told KRLD.

At one point in the digital suicide note, the 19-year-old bizarrely began ranting about how the US version of The Office ran on for two seasons too long.

Farhan wrote that it "should’ve ended when [Steve Carell’s character] Michael left" because it went downhill from then on.

He added: "People say the finale makes up for it, which is a complete lie. Sure it was cute, but it doesn’t justify the last few s****y seasons we had to deal with."

The teenager said he had "a lot more I want to say but hey, life is short".

"We kept watching until February 21, 2021. That’s the day my older brother came into my room with a proposition: if we can’t fix everything in a year, we’ll kill ourselves and our family," he wrote.

The victims were identified as Altafun Nessa, 77, Iren Islam, 56, Towhidul Islam, 54, and Farbin Towhid, 19 – Farhan's twin sister.
