Donald Trump has vowed that he will be "back in some form" after he left the White House for the final time as President of the United States.
Delivering his final speech as President at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland after flying there with his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, the outgoing President told his supporters that it had been "a great honor to be your president".
Watch as Donald Trump tells his supporters that he will be back "in some form" in his final remarks as President:Despite becoming the first President since 1869 to snub his successor's inauguration, Trump did say, "I wish the new administration great luck and great success."
A reported 25,000 troops will guard the ceremony in the wake of the Capitol riots that left five people dead earlier this month.
According to the BBC, Trump used the speech to highlight his "amazing" achievements as President in characteristically off the cuff remarks, while urging people to be "very, very careful" about the "horrible" coronavirus pandemic.
"It's been a great honor and privilege to be your president... I will always fight for you. I will be watching. I will be listening." He said.
"I wish the new administration great luck and great success. I think they will have great success. They have the foundation to do something really spectacular."

Trump did not mention incoming President Joe Biden by name in the speech. He concluded the speech by promising that he would return "in some form". He said:
"Goodbye. We love you. We will be back in some form. Have a good life. We will see you soon."
The BBC reports that Trump is now flying to Palm Beach to embark on post-Presidential life at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
Earlier, Trump left the White House for the final time as President.
Trump has made no public announcement on where he plans to live as he faces the reality of life after the White House, but Bloomberg, citing "people familiar with the matter", reports that he intends to live at the Palm Beach resort.
Incoming President Joe Biden is to be sworn in as President of the United States later today, while Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will take the oath of office alongside him in Washington DC.
