Approximately 20 minutes into a speech made in front of thousands of people, Trump stated:
"One thing with me, the nice part: I went through it, now they say I’m immune. I feel so powerful, I’ll walk into that audience.
"I’ll walk in there, I’ll kiss everyone in that audience. I’ll kiss the guys and the beautiful women, everyone, I’ll just give you a big fat kiss."
Per Fox News 23, despite the fact that he himself confirmed he had tested positive for COVID-19 a mere 10 days previously, the President defended his handling of the pandemic, stating:
"Under my leadership, we’re delivering a safe vaccine and a rapid recovery like no one can even believe. If you look at our upward path, no country in the world has recovered the way we have recovered."
Per The Metro, Trump also promised that, under his continued administration, all Americans would have access to the same experimental treatment he has lately received, stating:
"We are going to take whatever the hell they gave me and we are going to distribute it around to hospitals and everyone’s going to have the same damn thing."

Trump first came public with the news that his aide, Hope Hicks, tested positive for the novel coronavirus on October 2, and two hours later confirmed that he and First Lady Melania Trump, had also tested positive, writing:
"Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER! [sic]"

After three days of special treatment at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Trump made his return to the White House, and in a video later shared with his 87 million Twitter followers, Trump stated:
"Don't let [COVID] dominate you. Don't be afraid of it. You're gonna beat it ... We have the greatest country in the world ... And, I know there's a risk, there's a danger - but that's okay."
The president previously told the public not to be afraid of the virus in this video upon his return to the White House:

Trump added:
"Now I'm better, and maybe I'm immune - I don't know. But don't let it dominate your lives - get out there, be careful. We have the best medicines in the world, and it all happened very shortly and they're all getting approved. And the vaccines are coming momentarily.
According to the John Hopkins University Coronavirus Research Center, there have been 7,804,337 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States, resulting in 215,086 deaths, as of the time of writing.
