Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has announced its alternative Super Bowl 60 halftime show, aiming to provide viewers with a different experience compared to Bad Bunny’s performance. While the show was designed to appeal to conservative audiences, the lineup has received mixed reviews.
The event, named the All-American Halftime Show, will feature performances by Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.
TPUSA, led by Erika Kirk after the passing of her husband, Charlie, has been promoting the event through its official channels. However, fans are expressing their disappointment, especially after calling for Jason Aldean to be included in the show.
Fan reactions to the lineup
Criticism of the TPUSA halftime show lineup has been loud on social media. Some fans took to X to voice their displeasure. One user wrote, “Anyone else disappointed? Honestly, your marketing team could have did a better job on this flyer and advertising this event,” while another commented, “I’ll be watching but I am a little disappointed in this lineup. Going to struggle getting Gen Z to care.”
A few fans, however, are excited about the show. One wrote, “This is going to be massive! Is everyone tuning in?” Others expressed enthusiasm, saying, “Can’t wait to see Kid Rock & the crew rock the halftime stage! Who’s your top pick?”
Criticism of Bad Bunny's performance at the Super Bowl
Bad Bunny, who is set to perform at Super Bowl 60, has been a point of contention among some conservative figures, including former President Donald Trump. In an interview with Newsmax, Trump said, “I’ve never heard of him. I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s, like, crazy.”
Bad Bunny, who recently won the Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammys, has become a symbol of Latin music's rise in the U.S. He has been vocal about staying true to his roots, including his use of Spanish in his music.
In an October 2025 SNL appearance, he humorously told the audience they had "four months to learn Spanish" ahead of his Super Bowl performance.
For viewers who want an alternative to Bad Bunny’s set, TPUSA’s show will be available for streaming on their official social media channels, as well as platforms like The Daily Wire and Trinity Broadcasting Network.
