Preston Ordone, a two-year-old TikTok star, sadly passed away, and his cause of death has now been confirmed.

The two-year-old was known online as "Okay Baby".

Preston died following a devastating car crash that also seriously injured his parents, Katelynn and Jaelan Ordone.

The crash occurred on April 24 in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana — about 50 miles north of New Orleans, per PEOPLE.

According to Louisiana State Police, the family was driving their 2011 Ford F-150 truck when it veered off the road and struck a tree shortly before 11:50AM The investigation into the tragic accident is still ongoing.

Following the crash, the Ordone family confirmed that Preston had passed away, while both Katelynn, 25, and Jaelan, 27, were hospitalized with serious injuries. Days later, Katelynn returned to social media to share an emotional update with their followers.

“I think we all are trying - none of us really understand why or how this could happen,” Katelynn said in a video posted to Instagram on April 30. “But y'all support has made a big difference in a lot of this.”

She continued: “I may not be able to watch everything, I may not be able to reply to every comment, because it's really hard for me to look at it.

"I'm still seeing some things and hearing how much y'all love him, and it means a lot. I really wanted everyone to know I truly appreciate the support during this incredibly difficult time.”

Multiple outlets report that the St. Tammany Parish coroner's office has listed Preston’s cause of death as “blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash,” with the manner of death categorized as accidental.

Preston was born on December 27, 2022, joining big sister Paisley in the Ordone household. At the time, Katelynn shared their joy on Facebook, writing: “We are so excited to take him home. Thank you everyone for y'all's prayers.”

The family, known for their candid and heartfelt content, had shared countless moments of their lives online — from holidays and sibling antics to poolside laughs and muddy adventures.

This past Easter, the Ordone family celebrated with church, sweets, and pool time. Katelynn simply captioned her post: “Happy Easter.”

The bond between Preston and seven-year-old Paisley was clear in Katelynn’s posts. “My daughter was just as feral at his age,” she joked on Instagram back in March. “That's why they're 5 years apart but she became a little less feral with age.”

In one of his most beloved TikToks, Preston was told: “Give Lovie one minute, OK?” by Katelynn — and then instantly launched himself into the pool.

The video went viral. “It's the 'OK' for me every time and he STILL jumps,” one fan commented. Katelynn captioned the video: “We're still trying to figure out what okay means to him.”

But if Preston loved the pool, he loved dirt even more. He was known for playing outside, splashing in muddy puddles for hours.

After his passing, family friend Carson Matranga shared a moving tribute: “I know in heaven right now, if there's mud in heaven, he probably has found it and is jumping and dancing in it.”
