US Attorney General William Barr finds 'no voter fraud that would overturn election'
US Attorney General William Barr has announced that he has found no evidence of voter fraud that would overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election.
Barr revealed on Tuesday, December 3, that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security had investigated claims of systematic fraud, and concluded that "so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that."

Speaking to the Associated Press, General Barr said that investigations made by the FBI and attorneys' into the alleged electoral fraud did not find any evidence on a scale that would result in a different outcome of the US elections.
"To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election," Barr said.
US attorneys were allowed to pursue significant allegations of voter fraud as a result of a directive issued by Barr last month.
Barr told the AP one of the allegations involved the assertion that electoral machines were programmed to skew the results, but this has been investigated by the Department of Homeland Security and DoJ, and no evidence to support it has been found.
He added that there has been a move towards the criminal justice system being misused, and people are abusing it to have the Department of Justice unnecessarily investigate things they don't like.
Barr further explained that people are confusing the federal criminal justice system with claims which should be made in civil lawsuits, and that in order for an investigation to take place, there must be a reasonable belief that a crime has taken place.
This is why he said that the broad claims of fraud which cover a few thousand votes have been followed up.
While Trump has yet to comment on Barr's findings, his lawyers Judy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis have released a statement.
Per the New York Times, they said: "With the greatest respect to the Attorney General, his opinion appears to be without any knowledge or investigation of the substantial irregularities and evidence of systemic fraud."
Trump claimed his team has discovered "truckloads" of illegal votes for Democratic candidate Joe Biden, the Independent reports, despite no evidence of this fraud being formally presented.
CBS News Senior Investigative Correspondent Catherine Herridge has also tweeted earlier today saying that despite several news outlets claiming the Department of Justice has concluded its investigation into voter fraud, this is not true.

Herridge stated: "From a DOJ spokesperson - 'Some media outlets have incorrectly reported that the Department has concluded its investigation of election fraud and announced an affirmative finding of no fraud in the election.
"That is not what the Associated Press reported nor what the Attorney General stated. The Department will continue to receive and vigorously pursue all specific and credible allegations of fraud as expeditiously as possible.'"
