Vanessa Trump shares major health update six months after breast cancer diagnosis
The former daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, Vanessa Trump, has taken to social media to reveal that she is now in remission, just six months after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis.
The 48-year-old, who was formerly married to Donald Trump Jr., shared the positive news in an Instagram video posted by her daughter, Kai Trump, 19, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Vanessa reveals she is now cancer-free
In the clip, Vanessa confirmed her latest results were clear, saying they “came back clear, so I’m finally cancer free,” with Kai, one of the US leader’s granddaughters, introducing the video by explaining why the family had decided to share her mother's experience publicly.
“My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in April, so we thought we would share her story and how she was diagnosed and how she overcame it,” she admitted.
A longer video, due to be released on YouTube on Saturday, will feature Kai sitting down with her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier, an industry-leading radiologist, to discuss her “mom’s journey with breast cancer and learn more about prevention and early detection.”
Vanessa first revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer on Instagram on May 20, 2026, explaining that she was working with her medical team to determine the best course of treatment.
“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” she wrote at the time. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”
She also thanked the doctors who had performed a procedure on her earlier that week, adding that she was “staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”
Vanessa receives support from the Trump family
Her announcement prompted an outpouring of support on social media, including a message from President Donald Trump's eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump.
“Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama,” Ivanka wrote. Vanessa's ex sister-in-law, Tiffany Trump, also liked the post.
Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr. between 2005 and 2018, with the former couple sharing five children, including oldest daughter, Kai.
In March 2025, Vanessa went public with her relationship with golf star Tiger Woods.
The sportsman, 50, was reportedly a source of considerable support for Vanessa following her diagnosis, with a source telling Page Six in May that Woods had “been very supportive of Vanessa through all this and is really just focused on being there for her.”
“He’s proud of how positive she’s stayed and how she’s handling everything so far,” the source added.
“She’s been so strong and he truly believes she’s going to be okay,” they continued, explaining that Woods was “just trying to support her however he can right now.”
