Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump, is facing criticism after referring to the White House as "my house" in a new YouTube vlog. The 19-year-old gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look inside the presidential residence while documenting the UFC 250th event, which was previously hosted at the White House.
Kai opened the video, holding a tiny microphone, and greeted viewers by saying, "All right, guys, welcome into my house." A clip of the moment was later shared on X, where it had received 16,000 likes at the time of writing and sparked a wave of reactions online.
Throughout the vlog, Kai showcased her sarcastic narration while taking viewers through different parts of the White House. She pointed out a portrait of George Washington, showed the main entrance, shared childhood memories of playing soccer there, and revealed details about her grandfather, President Donald Trump.
The tour also included a look at the massive stage where the UFC 250 fight took place. Kai introduced several staff members who help keep the White House running and later entered the Oval Office, where she said President Trump had added a lot of gold because he really loves it.
At one point, Kai sat in the President's chair and talked about Trump's fondness for Diet Coke, explaining that he orders it with the press of a button. The vlog offered viewers access to areas that are rarely featured in casual social media content.
While some viewers enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look, many online focused on Kai's opening remark about the White House being "my house."
One user wrote: "Kai Trump, it's not YOUR house. It's ours."
A second user quipped: "Are dead presidents rolling in their graves seeing Gen Z vlog in the White House?"
A third user commented: "Everyone in this f***ing family has the personality of a paper bag."
A fourth user wrote: "Well, Trump has only lived in the White House for six years. Maybe Kai lived there during Biden's term, but he and Jill didn't notice? That would make it ten. Also, Kai doesn't live in DC; she lives in Florida and goes to school there."
A fifth user pointed out: "Why the f**k would they let her do this??"
