Super Bowl LVIII has already had one of its most emotional moments - and it happened before the kick-off!

Reba McEntire's powerful rendition of the national anthem stirred up emotions among fans, and one Kansas City Chiefs defender couldn't help but shed tears during her performance.

The country music icon concluded the opening ceremony just moments before the Super Bowl kicked off on Sunday, delivering a stirring rendition of 'The Star-Spangled Banner'.

As CBS' broadcast panned across the players, many remained focused, but Chris Jones - the Chiefs' formidable defensive lineman - was visibly moved by the moment. Check it out below:

In a video capturing the scene, Chris, donning jersey number 95, was seen with tears streaming down his face as Reba sang her heart out. Notably, the performance lasted 95 seconds, surpassing the 90.5-second over/under mark set by sports bettors.

Chris wasn't the only one touched by the performance. Fans flooded social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to express their admiration for Reba's rendition, with the majority of opinions being overwhelmingly positive.

"Chris Jones crying during the national anthem is what America is all about," one person tweeted on X about the emotional moment.

A second added: "Chris Jones crying during the NATIONAL ANTHEM…..is EVERYTHING!! Greatest Country in the world!!"

Reba was just one of the many celebrities gracing the Super Bowl, with stars like Post Malone, Usher, Paul Rudd, Leonardo DiCaprio, and many more in attendance to witness the biggest game of the NFL season.

In fact, Malone took to the stage just before Reba to perform 'America The Beautiful' - a rendition that many viewers dubbed "the best they've ever heard". Check out his incredible performance below:

"One of the best versions of America the Beautiful I’ve ever heard," one X user wrote.

"Wow. Post Malone’s version of America the Beautiful was the best I have ever heard," a second added.

A fourth agreed, tweeting: "Post Malone just blew my mind by singing the best version of America the Beautiful I have ever heard".

The Kansas City Chiefs, reigning champions of the Super Bowl, are on the cusp of making history with a potential back-to-back victory if they can conquer the San Francisco 49ers. This highly anticipated matchup serves as a rematch of the thrilling 2020 Super Bowl, where the Chiefs staged a remarkable comeback from a 10-point deficit in the third quarter to secure a victory over the 49ers.

With the stakes higher than ever, the excitement surrounding the game has reached a fever pitch, with millions of American adults eagerly preparing to place their bets. According to estimates by the American Gaming Association, approximately 68 million American adults are gearing up to participate in the wagering frenzy, adding to the electrifying atmosphere of the event.

As anticipation mounts for the halftime show, all eyes are on Usher, who is set to headline the highly anticipated entertainment segment. Online chatter is abuzz with speculation about which artists Usher might bring onstage with him (Justin Bieber?), promising an electrifying performance that will further elevate the excitement of the Super Bowl experience.
