A white forensic tent has now been erected outside Nancy Guthrie’s home as investigators continue to search for answers in her mysterious disappearance.
The 84-year-old mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie was last seen on January 31, when she took an Uber to visit family members for dinner and games.
At 9:48 p.m., she was dropped off at her home in Pima County, Arizona, where she lives alone. Surveillance footage shows her garage door opening and closing shortly after she arrived.
Hours later, at 1:47 a.m. on February 1, her doorbell camera was disconnected, and at 2:12 a.m., motion-detection software registered a person on camera, but no corresponding video footage was available, according to NBC News.
It wasn’t until 11:56 a.m. that Nancy’s family went to check on her and discovered she was missing. A 911 call was placed at 12:03 p.m., and deputies arrived roughly 10 minutes later, prompting a large-scale investigation.
In a new development, 13 News reported that investigators set up a tent outside Nancy’s home at around 8:00 a.m.
The tent has been positioned near the same door where surveillance images captured a suspect on the morning of her disappearance, signaling continued forensic activity at the scene.
