‘Woman in the red dress’ behind Trump goes viral after bizarre ‘robot clone’ claims – here’s who she really is
Online users have been left baffled by the mysterious woman "in the red dress" standing beside Donald Trump during his latest announcement at the Oval Office.
On October 7, the president announced that approximately 70 million American children have been enrolled in his Trump Accounts Investment programme.
On October 1, the Treasury Department automatically registered 60 million children under 18, adding to the 10 million whose parents opted in after the accounts were released on July 4.
"With automatic enrollment now complete, every American child under the age of 18 has a Trump Account in their name, making it easier than ever for families to participate," White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers said in a statement.
The president predicted the initiative could leave young Americans richer in the future.
"So if all goes well, which I think it will, they'll end up being quite rich by the time they're 18 and then 21," he remarked.
Viewers unsettled by the woman in the red dress
As footage from the event circulated online, viewers became fixated on the "woman in the red dress" and made comments about her stance and mannerisms.
"Her mannerisms [are] like a robot clone," one user reacted, while another said: "I was looking at the dress because I thought it was something with that until I looked up and got actually jumpscared."
A third added: "Nobody in this clip besides Trump looks like a real person, this is really weird."
The woman was soon identified as Susan Dell, the wife of Michael Dell, CEO and chairman of tech company Dell Technologies.
The couple joined the 80-year-old at the White House to celebrate the expansion of the children's investment program.
Other users focused on a video of the president asking Michael whether his wife was considering running for office before giving his "complete and total endorsement".
They compared the exchange to an "SNL skit" and remarked that it's "not real".
"This is legitimately one of the weirdest things I have ever seen. What the hell is this? Every single part of it. When can we go back to normal?" a user penned.
Another commented: "It gets worse the longer I look... is this a SNL skit?"
"Is this AI or something? Who are the people around Trump, and especially that weird woman?" a third added.
Who is Susan Dell, the woman standing next to Trump?
Susan, 61, is the co-founder and board chair of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, where she has helped guide the foundation's global focus on education, health care, and family economic stability.
Her husband, Michael, 61, founded Dell Computer Corp. from his University of Texas dorm room in 1984 and eventually transformed it into one of the world's largest technology companies.
He remains chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies and is one of the wealthiest business leaders in the U.S.
The couple has become prominent supporters of Trump's investment program, pledging a staggering $6.25 billion to help fund accounts for approximately 25 million children.
They have previously attended various events hosted by the president, such as a Rose Garden Club Lunch on July 6, 2026, and a state dinner held for Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan, on September 24, 2026.
