It appears that Chris Watts, made famous by a Netflix documentary exploring the triple murder of his family, has his own fanbase.
At the very least, he has one devoted fan by the name of Christa Richello who features in the Lifetime documentary, Cellmate Secrets: Chris Watts.
As per the press materials for the documentary, she has "developed a close and intimate relationship" with him and his cellmate Dylan Tallman after she became acquainted with Watts when she started sending him fan mail in prison.
Now, 42-year-old Richello is engaged to Tallman after the pair connected when he responded to Christa's letter on behalf of Watts.
In the series, Richello, who happens to be a clinical psychologist, explains that she started writing to Watts in prison as she couldn't get over "how quickly" the case was brought to a conclusion.
"I found it very odd, the way the case was handled," she said, per E! News. "I've never seen a case in history that somebody took a plea agreement so quickly, a case was completely ended and not investigated."
Richello added: "And there are all these different theories because normally this would be going on in a trial for years, and it was only two months to this plea agreement. And that's what caught me."
The 2018 disappearance of Shanann, Watts' wife, and the daughters they shared, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, has become one of the most renowned family murder cases in recent years.
It was in November 2018 that Watts pleaded guilty after initially denying any involvement in their murders and as a result, he was sentenced to five lifetime prison terms without the possibility of parole that same month.
Richello, in her fascination with the 36-year-old convict, takes after her own mom, she says - as her mother had an interest in the infamous Charles Manson.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Watts was back in contact with his mistress Nichol Kessinger - despite him being behind bars.
During his trial, it emerged that the erstwhile father had killed his family to be with Kessinger.
