Alarming simulation shows how two inmates in separate prison cells had a baby without ever meeting
A shocking simulation has shown how two prison inmates managed to conceive a child without ever physically meeting.
The scenario gained attention after the eerie simulation demonstrated how the two were able to get pregnant despite the significant barriers they faced.
The story of Daisy Link and Joan Depaz, both serving time for serious crimes, has sparked widespread disbelief and intrigue.
The strange story of Daisy Link and Joan Depaz
Daisy Link is currently incarcerated at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade after being convicted of second-degree murder in 2022.

She recently learned her fate in the case and is set to return to court on November 21 for pre-sentencing. The father of her child, Joan Depaz, was also behind bars on a first-degree murder charge.
The two first began communicating after Link heard noises coming from a vent in her cell, which she later realized was coming from Depaz.

The two struck up a conversation, and soon their communication evolved to the point where they were sending messages via bed sheets and strings. Despite being in separate cells, their bond grew, and the idea of having a child emerged.
How the conception happened
In a recent interview with WSVN, Link revealed the unusual method that led to her pregnancy. Depaz, determined to make their dream of having a child a reality, provided his semen in a plastic container multiple times a day for about a month.
Link would then use yeast infection applicators to administer the semen into herself, resulting in an improbable pregnancy.
Link explained that, despite never having met in person, their communication through the vent made it feel as if they were in the same room.
She noted that spending hours talking to Depaz helped them form a connection. Dr. Fernando Akerman, medical director of the Fertility Center of Miami, confirmed the possibility of such a pregnancy, although he emphasized the rarity of the situation.
"We estimate that probably their chances were less than five percent, but that is not to say that the chances were zero," he said.
Ultimately, Link gave birth to a baby girl, who is now believed to be living with Depaz's mother. This shocking case serves as a reminder of how unconventional methods can lead to unexpected outcomes.
